Horsepower 'Hawk XP Installation Checklist
This sheet may be used to obtain a quotation for
installation by your local FBO:
Work Description:
- Remove cowling and spinner dome.
- Remove, have propeller governor shop
overhaul/reset and re-install governor or replace governor with new or
overhauled unit (requires removal of left front engine baffle).
- Change fuel (high) pressure adjustment screw by
(1) turn (not always required).
- Remove and send in tachometer
for overhaul and remark (included in kit price). (Optional:
remove mechanical tachometer and cable. Replace with digital
tachometer with wire harness from tachometer to magneto switch, add
one circuit breaker and install cap on tachometer drive housing.)
- Remove and send in Manifold Pressure/Fuel Flow
gauge for overhaul and remark (included in kit price).
- Install self-adhesive fuel flow placard.
- Rework propeller. Note: This rework consists of
changing the low pitch stop setting. This may be accomplished on or
off the airplane depending upon the equipment available in your
propeller shop.
- Install spinner dome and static run engine.
- Remark engine data plate to indicate the new
RPM and rated horsepower.
- Install cowling.
- Complete log book entries and 337 forms.
- Return exchange core components
if applicable.
